2 Full-time 1 hour ago Full Job Description Job Summary Under general supervision of the Programs Manager, work with the UC Education Abroad Program (UCEAP) and the UC Davis Faculty-led Programs Faculty Directors to coordinate the overall administration of UC system wide immersion and campus-based faculty-led programs (e.
g.
, Summer, Quarter, Seminars, Domestic, Internships, etc.
) and/or other new programs that may be developed.
Staff may be assigned to different program portfolios as determined by workloads and strategic planning.
Develop campus-based programs in collaboration with faculty, including work with international vendors and program providers, budget projections, enrollment management, and health, safety and logistics planning.
Manage a comprehensive program of advising, information and guidance to students interested in study abroad.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education/
Experience:
Experience using specialized counseling skills in a university environment to advise and inform individual students.
Experience developing and implementing marketing strategies including evaluation of these strategies related to student recruitment.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) :
Knowledge of the field of international education, institutional policies, risk management, cross-cultural concepts and principles of good practice with regard to academic programs abroad.
Knowledge of safety, security and health issues that affect students participating in study abroad programs.
Knowledge of theories, principles, objectives, policies and procedures related to advising and program development in the context of international education.
Knowledge of academic departments, major, minor and general education requirements that can be satisfied by student participation in study abroad programs.
Skills using computer systems including database management and web site maintenance.
Interpersonal and communication skills (including public speaking and large presentations) to present information to diverse groups of students, parents, staff, faculty and administrators in a variety of settings.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Preferred Education/
Experience:
Experience living, studying and/or working abroad.
Knowledge about a wide variety countries and cultures.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
Knowledge about a wide variety countries and cultures.
Knowledge of the academic and cultural components of UC and non-UC study abroad programs in order to market and promote programs and to counsel students on appropriate study abroad options.
Familiarity with international political, social and cultural issues as they pertain to educational exchange.
Familiarity with regional and national study abroad networks and resources.
