The Software Developerwill be engaged in challenging and fast-paced software development and implementation of complex internet applications for our web community where as many as 50,000 customers at a time may be accessing the site worldwide. The team of eight uses knowledge of web technologies, ASP.Net, Javascript, HTML, SQL database development, stored procedures, triggers and views. We are seeking someone who can effectively model development tools and/or database interactions and be required to evaluate systems specifications for future development roadmap. Other duties will include researching and tracking new web and mobile technologies, developing service applications, and analyzing business requirements. Experience in rapid application development is key, along with the ability to work multiple projects simultaneously.
Located fifteen minutes from downtown Sacramento, our company provides web-based educational services, forums and resources for veterinarians and students worldwide.

In order to best meet the needs of this position, we are seeking candidates who have the following skills:

years ASP.Net experience
5
years C#, Object oriented development experience
5
years of experience developing applications against Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008
Experience with Microsoft MVC, software development patterns, alternative development principles
Experience functioning as a Technical Subject Matter Expert preferred
Background in Test Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration is a plus
Communication skills (written & verbal) are essential as team members are split between the home office and remote locations.
Ability to work independently and take initiative on new projects and technologiesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
